Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is a ten-minute drive from downtown Aspen, with direct summer flights from Denver, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Many hotels offer complimentary airport shuttles—please coordinate directly with your accommodations.

From Denver: ~4 hours via Independence Pass or I-70 through Glenwood Springs (check cotrip.org for road conditions).

GETTING AROUND
Aspen is a highly walkable town, with a free public bus system and seasonal bikeshare program (WE-cycle). RFTA buses connect downtown Aspen with surrounding areas, including Snowmass Village.
Downtowner is a free ride share app for downtown Aspen and a great resource for our guests traveling into town.
WEATHER & ALTITUDE
Summer days are warm and sunny, with highs in the 70s–80s°F (21–26°C) and cooler evenings in the 40s°F (5–10°C). Be prepared for quick weather shifts and occasional afternoon rain.
Aspen sits at nearly 8,000 feet above sea level. To avoid altitude sickness, hydrate regularly, ease into physical activity, and limit alcohol. The Aspen Chamber offers helpful altitude tips.
