AIR 2025’s Bluhm-Kaul Keynotes featured filmmaker and author Werner Herzog, artist and architect Maya Lin, and architect Francis Kéré. They were presented in collaboration with Hans Ulrich Obrist, artistic director of London’s Serpentine.

Artist and architect Maya Lin explores the relationship between landscape and memory through her environmental works and ongoing memorial What Is Missing? Using sound, image, and shared memories, her keynote presentation traces species loss and reflects on how memory can shape our response to ecological crisis.

Pritzker Prize–winning architect Francis Kéré explores the concept of togetherness and the power of architecture to foster connection by building spaces with and for the community. Drawing from his diverse range of global projects, Kéré demonstrates how inclusive, collaborative design can strengthen and support community life.
